History is easy when you already know the ending.
52 pivotal military decisions. What would you do?
Stand where history's commanders stood. Weigh the risks. Make your choice before you know the outcome. Then discover what actually happened.

History, in your hands.
Every card begins at a real moment of uncertainty. You know what the historical leader knew—not how the story ends. The choice is yours.

Then discover.
Draw a card
Step into the position of a historical commander or leader.
Make your decision
Consider the options, risks, and uncertainty. Choose what you would do—or propose another course.
Discover the outcome
Consult the companion Reveal Guide to learn what was chosen, what happened, and more about the history.
Play alone, discuss with friends, or use the scenarios to spark a group conversation. The goal is thoughtful historical judgment, not guessing the “right” answer.

Four eras. Four examples.
These representative card designs illustrate the decision-based format and the range of the game.

The story doesn't end with your choice.
Each of the 52 decisions has a corresponding entry in the printed Reveal Guide, with the full historical situation, what actually happened, and a further historical discovery.
The approximately 200-page guide is included with the physical game. The complete guide is not published on this website.
Make the decision before you know the ending.
Inside the Reveal Guide
The Question
The decision as it appeared to the historical figure.
What Actually Happened
The documented choice and the events that followed.
Did You Know?
An additional historical detail that deepens the story.
Built around the historical record.
Historical decisions are most interesting when their outcomes are unknown. Each scenario is framed around the information available to its participants at the decision point.
Research approach
Scenarios distinguish what participants could reasonably have known at the time from events that became clear only afterward. The Reveal Guide provides historical context and outcomes.
Illustration and reconstruction
The artwork is interpretive. It evokes a historical setting but should not be treated as a photographic record or as independent evidence of particular details.
Historical uncertainty
Ancient and modern accounts can disagree. Where sources are disputed or incomplete, the historical discussion should acknowledge that uncertainty rather than present conjecture as fact.
Bibliographies
Explore the published historical sources behind the four suits, organized by battle. Research citations are available without publishing the Reveal Guide or internal editorial records.
